Pearl Harbor Remembrance Program

Join us as we remember 7 December 1941, "a day that will live in infamy", the day the Japanese attacked the American base at Pearl Harbor, bringing the United States into World War Two. In this virtual program, Museum Outreach Coordinator Bryan Degner presents an overview of America's attitude before the war, the Japanese strategy of the attack, and the American reaction to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. This video also shares the personal account of Seaman First Class Donald Stratton, a sailor aboard the USS Arizona during the Pearl Harbor attack and one of the few to survive the sinking of his ship.
