During World War II, the U.S. Navy needed a way to fend off enemy aircraft, but starting out, that was no easy task - it was like shooting in the dark, even if it was daytime! We needed to improve accuracy of anti-aircraft guns, and this led to an innovation called the Radio Proximity Fuze. In this episode of Nimitz Minitz, you'll see how they were assembled and learn how they made anti-aircraft fire up to 5 times more effective.
