First, let me start by saying I would absolutely recommend this experience to any teacher, and I plan on doing that with my teachers next year! It was wonderful to be able to see the museum resources that we can use in the classroom and bring history to life for students.

Please accept our sincere gratitude for the wonderful field trip you helped coordinate last month for Great Hearts Live Oak Academy. It was indeed a great opportunity to provide experiential learning through a world-class museum as our 8th and 9th-grade students learned so much about World War II and the sacrifices made by so many brave Americans on the battlefront and on the home front...We do not want history classes to treat students as receptacles for information. We want them to explore and discover on their own and learn to become critical thinkers.

Participants continue to rave about how educational, interesting, and inspiring the session was. You had “perfect pitch” in giving the life history but also the leadership attributes of Admiral Nimitz.... I can’t say enough about how energizing and inspiring your presentation was!
