"Old Breed General" tells the remarkable story of Marine Corps General William H. Rupertus, a pioneering military leader who served from 1913 to 1945. Rupertus was a distinguished Marine who commanded troops in Haiti, Cuba, and China, and became a pivotal figure in the Pacific theater during World War Il. His distinguished career includes being the commanding officer of the first ground victory in the Pacific at Tulagi and serving as the longest-serving division commander of the 1st Marine Division.
