The National Museum of the Pacific War welcomes the public to the re-opening of the newly renovated Admiral Nimitz Gallery. This event is free and family-friendly.

The National Museum of the Pacific War welcomes the public to the grand re-opening of the Admiral Nimitz Gallery! The much-anticipated renovation explores the life and career of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz through interactive, multimedia exhibits and artifacts from his life and career. The recently completed $4.5 million renovations expanded the space honoring the life of Fredericksburg native Admiral Chester Nimitz by 50 percent. Modernized with state-of-the-art interactives, the gallery has also doubled the number of Nimitz artifacts displayed.

Join us at the gallery at 11:00 am for a ribbon-cutting, at 1:00 pm in the Nimitz Ballroom for a birthday cake to commemorate Admiral Nimitz's 135th birthday (while supplies last) and craft activities for children, and a 2:00 pm showing of the documentary From Texas to Tokyo Bay.
