In July 1944, seventy-eight years ago, U.S. Forces were embroiled in the fight for the Northern Marianas Islands. In places like Saipan and Tinian, the Japanese desperately attempted to deny Americans the use of the island's airfields, which lay in perfect position to allow B-29's to launch raids on the Japanese home islands.

On July 2, join us at the Pacific Combat Zone for a Special Outpost program that examines the Northern Marianas Campaign and the tactics that led the United States to an eventual victory over the Japanese garrisons.

This FREE program will be held at 11:00am and 2:00pm-we hope to see you there!
