Outpost: War Machines

April 4, 2026 10:00pm - 10:30pm
Free Admission

During the Pacific War, tanks played a critical role in supporting infantry as they advanced against heavily fortified Japanese positions. Crews relied on teamwork, coordination, and mechanical skill to operate effectively under extreme conditions across the islands of the Pacific.

This FREE Outpost program offers visitors an opportunity to learn about armored warfare in the Pacific and explore the Museum’s M5 Stuart tank. Guests can interact with real artifacts while gaining insight into tank crews, their daily responsibilities, and how armored vehicles supported ground operations during the war.

Outpost programs are educational, drop-in experiences held on select Saturdays. Visitors of all ages are welcome to stop by, ask questions, and engage directly with history.
