Outpost: War Correspondents

May 18, 2024 11:30am - 2:30pm
Free Admission

The Second World War was one of the first wars in which Americans were bombarded by photographs, videos, and accounts on a regular basis. While information about conditions on the frontlines led to a better understanding of the war, it also led to shifts in public opinion. Come to this Outpost program to learn about how war correspondents captured the action and how their accounts influenced the mood of the American people. This program offers an up-close-and-personal opportunity for you to interact with and even handle real artifacts from the Pacific War!

Join us at the Nimitz-Platz on Main Street between 11:30-2:30. The Outposts are free and open to the public, there is no need for a ticket!
