Outpost: In the Service of the Emperor
During World War II, the Imperial Japanese military was shaped by a code of honor and discipline that strongly discouraged surrender. These beliefs influenced how Japanese forces fought and endured extreme conditions throughout the Pacific War.
This FREE Outpost program offers visitors an opportunity to learn about the daily lives of Imperial Japanese troops. Guests can explore real artifacts while gaining insight into living conditions, equipment, training, and the beliefs that influenced Japanese military culture during the war.
Outpost programs are educational, drop-in experiences held on select Saturdays on the Nimitz Platz at 340 E Main St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624. Visitors of all ages are welcome to stop by, ask questions, and engage directly with history.
