Memorial Day Commemoration 2025
Join the National Museum of the Pacific War as we remember those who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today. The ceremony includes a guest speaker, a wreath-laying ceremony, and more.
Program Itinerary:
9:30 am: Patio doors open
9:30-9:55 am: Seating accompanied by live choral music by the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church Choir
10:00 am: Ceremony begins
- National Anthem by the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church Choir
- Pledge of Allegiance by NJROTC
- Invocation by Craig Barrack, Retired Youth Pastor
- Welcome Address from David Shields, Museum Director
- Musical Selection from the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church Choir
- Keynote address by Brigadier General John K. Jarrard
- Recognition of Memorial Wall Endowment Wreaths
- Gillespie County Veterans Wreath Presentation by NJROTC
- Taps by Bill Smallwood
In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved from the Memorial Courtyard to the ballroom of the Historic Nimitz Hotel. This program is free to the public, but seating is limited. When seats are filled standing room is available.
