Hornfischer and his son, David J. Hornfischer. This poignant new book delves into the extraordinary life and heroic actions of WWII hero Commander Ernest E. Evans during the Leyte Gulf Battle of Samar.

David J. Hornfischer will be on hand to sign copies of the book. His father and co-author, James D. Hornfischer, passed in 2021 before the books release.
