Arthur Beaumont: Art of the Sea

From The Irvine Museum Collection at the University of California, Irvine, this exhibit features works from the artist Arthur Beaumont (1890-1978). Beaumont sought to create an artistic record of the activities and accomplishments of the US Navy, from launching USS Constitution in 1797 to the expeditions to the North and South poles. This exhibit includes individual portraits, as well as specific naval vessels, aircraft carriers, and battleships. Notable works include USS Wisconsin, USS Indianapolis, and USS Arizona. This exhibit is free to the public and open during Museum hours, Wed-Mon 9:00am-5:00pm
