Nimitz Minitz: Women on the Homefront Part 2

Charity Roberts

When millions of American men went off to fight in WWII, they left jobs in factories and farms without workers. Women stepped up to do those jobs and many more jobs that were created to support the war effort such as vehicle or airplane manufacturing and shipbuilding. Most of these women were learning and doing jobs they had never done before and that no one imagined they would ever do. In this Nimitz Minitz, see historic images of women doing many of those jobs.
