The National Museum of the Pacific War is rolling out a new digital series on YouTube. These video episodes focus on a particular point of WWII in the Pacific or a targeted exploration of specific Museum artifacts or exhibits. In this "Highlights and Insights" episode, we discuss the Medal of Honor. The Medal of Honor is the highest decoration for valor in combat awarded to those serving in the U.S. armed forces. Hear the story of Sgt. John Basilone who fought in the Pacific War and was the first enlisted Marine to earn the Medal of Honor.
