2nd Annual Robotics Competition

With a growing emphasis on Science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) the museum will be holding its second annual robotic competition on Saturday, May 11 from 10:00-12:30 at the new STEAM Lab -Quonset Hut at the Pacific Combat Zone. The students will be using Lego Mindstorm EV3 robotic kits and programming them to carry out certain missions as they Island Hop across the Pacific.

 

The task required include clearing the jungle at Guadalcanal in order to build an airfield, throwing a satchel charge into a Japanese bunker of Tarawa, raising the flag on Iwo Jima, delivering supplies to Okinawa, and taking delivery components of the Atomic Bomb to Tinian.

 

This event is free and open to the public

10:00 am – 1st match starts

12:00 pm – last match ends
